EQUATORE. CONTEMPORARY REINTERPRETATION OF THE CLASSIC LAMP

When the client list of Gabriele e Oscar Buratti includes such names as LeBourget, Automobili Lamborghini, Poliform, Antonio Lupi, and Porada, it is no wonder that Equatore, the new masterwork by this architectural duo, was announced the winner of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2017. Equatore is a particular contemporary reinterpretation of the classic lamp with the light being generated by two luminous discs that are fixed inside a central metal band. The band, visible on the shade, evokes the line of equator, thus accounting for the product‘s name. The light produced by the LEDs is distributed regularly across the surface of the discs, the result is soft lighting with weak shadows.

Equatore is an outstanding option for both domestic and public projects – available in a cooler and a warmer version, the collection includes table, suspension and floor models of two sizes.
