Cambo is the design resulting from the collaboration with the cenlitrosmetrocadra – do studio. The word Cambo (of Galician origin) refers to a wooden piece with a hook at one end, a hand – crafted element present in the Galician tradition. With nature and our environment as inspira – tion, cenlitrosmetrocadrado has designed the Cambo system based on the natural growth of plants, the branching and bifurcation of trees. Ricardo Tubío and Xabier Rilo’s vision of the natural environment has given rise to a modular system that allows different designs to be confi – gured with the same elements.
“The intention when we started sketching Cambo was to make something very synthetic that would somehow represent that morphology and that form of plant growth”.
The Cambo system comes in 4 different pendant lamp models. Its pure form makes this design a lamp that can be used both individually in reading corners and in large spaces, creating compositions with the different models and colours.
